Director Tom Edmunds of Sure Thing Productions is represented in the Long Form category with "Is This a Joke?"

The Rushes Soho Shorts Festival, celebrating its 14th year, will take place from 11 to 20 July in London. The festival is recognized internationally as a leading showcase of short films and is renowned for the championing of both emerging and established creative talent. Rushes Soho Shorts has built a loyal following and is known for maintaining a significant bridge between the independent and commercial filmmaking communities.

A total of 199 new films from 22 countries will be competing across live action, animation and factual (or documentary) categories, with the official category screenings taking place every evening throughout the festival at The Institute of Contemporary Arts (ICA) in London.  A full listing of Festival events can be found on the Festival web site here. Attendees can book tickets for the event directly from the ICA web site by clicking here.

The festival organizers note that, with over 70 events and screenings through the 10 day event, there is something for everyone interested in film. A destination day for networking is Sunday, 15 July, at which the BAFTA/Rushes New Filmmakers Day brings together 16 events, film screenings and related activities.  Session tickets are £5 and include free access to showcase screenings, the Trade Market, CV Workshops and the Networking Reception. See the BAFTA web site here for more details on the schedule and rundown of events.
