SWAY Studios Adds Executive Producer, Director of New Business Addie Hall
"My goal with SWAY is to continually expand the role of digital technology in our industry," explains Mark Glaser, owner and creative director of SWAY Studio. Cohon grew up in rainy Oregon, where he had to stay indoors for the better part of his childhood. This allowed him, as he explains to "become obsessed with all genres of film, including commercials." He attended Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles and after, a couple of academic detours, including minors in Japanese and German and a year abroad in Japan, he began his 15-year film career at Honda agency Rubin Postaer & Associates. By 1997 Cohon was, producing everything from stunts to live concerts. Joining Digital Domain in 2004, he became the studio's go-to live action commercial producer. This eventually morphed into VFX producing, first at Digital Domain and then Asylum, where he produced work for brands including Coca Cola, Ford, Microsoft, BMW, VISA and Disney. In coming aboard at SWAY, Cohon says with a smile, "The downside to running such a busy studio is that I’m not able to go surfing every day.” Hall, a Tennessee native, attended Pepperdine University, where she graduated with a BA in Advertising and Sociology. She began her career selling media space to small businesses before she took a job with the design and production studio Prologue Films. She transitioned into post-production at VFX house R!OT, working in business development and marketing under Managing Director Michael Taylor. When R!OT merged with Method Studios, Hall moved into an Account Executive role at parent company Ascent Media, where she managed the marketing and sales for Method Studios, Company 3, and Encore Hollywood. "It feels good to be back in an independent studio,” Hall says, “where my ideas are easily put into motion “
