Giraldi Media Signs Aussie Director James Holt

Australian Director James Holt is equally adept at directing both talent and comedy.

The New York based production company Giraldi Media has announced the signing of quirky comedy and visual storyteller James Holt from Australia.  Giraldi Media will represent Holt for the US market. 
Holt's work has led him around the world to direct award-winning spots for many big brands, shooting for agencies from Australia and New Zealand to Vietnam and Indonesia.  He's also worked for US agencies in the past as well.  His reel includes work for such brands as Visa, Nissan, Vodafone, MasterCard, Guinness and others. 
Says company founder and Director Bob Giraldi, "It's nice to have another storyteller in house, especially one that makes people laugh."
Holt has built a reputation for being a director who can handle both talent and comedy, which puts him in the same league as the legendary Giraldi himself.  His work seamlessly blends visual effects and post production techniques to achieve the script's goals. 
Holt began learning his craft at art school, majoring in painting and film while also acting and directing in theatre. This led to a natural crossover into advertising, where he's tapped all of his skills and training.  He's worked with top celebrities on TVC campaigns, including Hugh Jackman and the "Sex and the City" siren Kim Cattrall. In his native Australia he's regarded as an actors' director who pushes his work to be the best it can in all aspects.
